Payment Frequency and Contract Duration Are Different
If you want to book a dance course in Karlsruhe, start by separating three things: the lesson date, the payment frequency, and the contract duration. A monthly payment does not automatically mean that you can cancel every month. Likewise, a course with a fixed end date may have several payment dates. What matters is which service is agreed for which period.
For a course block with a set schedule, the start, end, number, and duration of the sessions go together. With ongoing classes, you also need to consider the minimum term and what happens after it ends. A pass for individual classes has its own terms of use, such as a validity period. The guide to dance courses without a subscription also explains the difference.
Missing a class does not automatically change the agreed contract duration. Dance classes often build on previous movements, weight shifts, and figures. Making up a class may therefore depend on there being a suitable parallel class, without giving you the right to choose any replacement date. Attending without a partner is also a separate matter from getting a refund: the article about couple classes when your partner is ill explains the difference. Your contract should make clear which of these options are actually included.
