Three styles emphasize different things
If you want to understand Voguing in Bremen, it helps to look at the movement itself. Voguing developed within New York's Ballroom culture. The terms Old Way, New Way and Vogue Fem refer to different forms of expression, not three successive course levels.
Old Way works with clear lines, symmetry, angles and precise poses. The still image is not all that matters: the path between two shapes and how they are placed in relation to the music are also part of the technique. Shoulders, arms and hands create deliberately legible outlines.
New Way expands this line work with complex arm movements, joint positions and flexibility. This is not an invitation to force your joints into a shape. Control within your own range of motion matters more than achieving an extreme position.
Vogue Fem combines Hand Performance, Catwalk, Duckwalk, Floor Performance, as well as Spins and Dips. These five elements can be presented softly and fluidly or much more dramatically. The style name does not prescribe your gender. Beginner classes can also focus on individual elements instead of immediately expecting a complete performance.
