Your dance goal determines the lessons
A prom dance course in Düsseldorf needs to suit what you actually plan to do at your celebration. Dancing freely with guests and putting on a planned performance together call for different things. For the open dance floor, you need a sense of rhythm, coordination as a couple and a clear way to start together. A planned performance also needs an agreed routine and rehearsals with the people who will be taking part.
A course title alone doesn't tell you which of these goals the lessons cover. So write down the result you want as an action: “I want to be able to start dancing to the music with my partner and start again after a break.” That's more specific than “I want to dance well.” You don't need to choose individual figures or a specific choreography yet.
The way you take part is also part of your learning goal. If you're preparing without a regular partner, your practical arrangements are different from those of a couple who have already agreed to take the course together. A guarantee of participation doesn't automatically mean you'll be matched with a partner. There's also a separate guide for booking a prom dance course with your year group. For now, prepare your personal inquiry here, without making commitments on behalf of others.
