The Bavarian state capital has developed into a true stronghold for modern partner dances in recent years. Anyone who leaves the Isar on the weekend and hits the city's dance floors will quickly notice: the Bachata scene in Munich is passionate about one specific style. It is the sensual, fluid variant from Spain that has taken hearts by storm. While the classic, Dominican style with its fast footwork is still appreciated, the soft body movement of Bachata Sensual defines the scene at major socials today. This development is no coincidence, but the result of a perfectly organized community.
Organizers and dance schools in Munich recognized the trend early on and developed specialized concepts. From workshops with international stars of the scene to weekly practice evenings, known as socials, the density of offerings is extremely high.
