Mit diesem Signal ist die Tanzfläche für alle Gäste freigegeben. Traditionell gehört der erste Tanz dem Wiener Walzer, bei dem sich das Parkett rasch füllt.

In den folgenden Stunden verteilt sich das Geschehen. Große Bälle bieten meist mehrere Säle mit unterschiedlichen Musikstilen, von klassischer Orchestermusik bis hin zu modernen Rhythmen im Disco-Bereich. For the traditional conclusion of a true Viennese ball night, the orchestra plays soft melodies like "Brüderlein fein" while the lights are dimmed and an unforgettable night finds its stylish end.
