Line dancing

Not at all, even though Line Dance has its roots in country, we dance to everything with a good beat today, from pop and rock to Latin American rhythms. The variety of music makes Line Dance modern and diverse.

Absolutely! Line Dance is a sport for all ages. Since the choreographies range from simple to highly complex, young people looking for a rhythmic challenge as well as experienced dancers will find their fun here. It is a real full-body and brain workout.

The best shoes are those with a smooth sole (leather or smooth synthetic material) that allow for turns on the dance floor without straining the knees. Classic cowboy boots are stylish of course, but comfortable dance shoes or sneakers with a special sliding sole are ideal for beginners.

Every beginning is easier than you think! In the dance classes, the dances are built up step by step and individual sequences (usually 32 or 48 counts) are repeated until they are "in your feet". The beauty of Line Dance is that you can orient yourself by the group: if you forget a step, a quick glance at your neighbor helps and you are immediately back in the flow. It is a fantastic workout for your memory that gets easier with every dance you learn.

A cowboy hat or boots can be fun and emphasize the feeling, but they are absolutely not mandatory. In Line Dance, the focus is on the athletic and social aspect. Most importantly, wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move well and shoes that allow a clean turn on the dance floor (no rubber soles that stop abruptly). Just come as you feel comfortable.
