What you need for the event
- Powerful, mobile, battery-operated speaker
- Audio editing software for creating the music mix
- Playlist with the season's most popular K-Pop choruses
- Safe, level surface such as asphalt or paving stones
The fascination of the local K-Pop community meeting
A K-Pop Random Play Dance, or RPD for short, is the heart of modern fan culture. Here, dozens of fans come together to spontaneously rush into the center during the choruses of well-known songs and dance the original choreographies together. To successfully organize such a K-Pop community meeting, you do not need an expensive event agency, but rather structure, passion, and a good feel for the scene. A well-planned event strengthens local cohesion and creates a safe space where everyone can participate without prejudice.
Before you can host your K-Pop event, you should consider which target group you want to reach. Is a small, intimate circle in the park enough, or are you planning a large meeting in a public square right away? Regardless of the size, the music selection is the decisive factor. The mix of current hits from the fourth and fifth generation as well as timeless classics ensures that both experienced dancers and newcomers feel comfortable. If you are looking for like-minded people to help you with the organization, you can use udansa to specifically search for contacts in your area.
Your own RPD event in five steps
Create the audio mix
Select 30 to 50 well-known K-Pop songs from different eras. Edit the tracks so that only the chorus plays for about 30 to 40 seconds, followed by a short transition sound.
Choose the location
Look for an easily accessible spot in your city that offers enough space for at least 30 people. Paved areas in parks or wind-protected spots are best suited for dance steps.
Invite participants
Create a digital flyer and share it in local chat groups as well as on social media. Use udansa to specifically reach dancers in your region and spread the word about your event.
Preparing the dance floor
Position your speaker so that the sound fills the dance floor well, without disturbing passersby. If necessary, mark the dance floor lightly with chalk or cones so that spectators keep their distance.
Start the event
Start the mix and briefly introduce the event. Remind everyone that the focus is on having fun and that everyone is welcome to rush to the center, regardless of their skill level.

Frequently Asked Questions
For a local meeting in the park, a battery-powered speaker with at least 50 to 80 watts is perfectly sufficient. It is important that the sound remains clear even outdoors and can cover the dancing crowd in the center.
A K-Pop Random Play Dance should ideally last between 45 and 90 minutes. If it lasts longer, the dancers' stamina decreases, and their focus on the choreographies drops noticeably.
Public parks with paved areas, quiet station forecourts, or schoolyards on weekends are best suited. The surface should be flat and dry to avoid injuries while dancing quickly.
